come Closer.

i beckon what is ancient in you.
what is animal.
what is holy.

what is whole and so worthy.
what is unwilling to disappear.

the flower and the fang.
the tenderness and the refusal.
the instinct beneath the conditioning.

not the perfected self.

the essential one.

arrive here.

not as the woman you have learned to perform, but as the one underneath her.

the one beneath the pleasing.
beneath the polishing.
beneath everything you were taught to become in order to belong.

i am interested in what remains
when the costume falls away.

that is where we begin.

this is not a space devoted only to softness.

the feminine is not only soft.

she creates and destroys.
she nourishes and refuses.
she grieves, desires, protects, births, ends, begins again.

flor y colmillo makes room for the whole of her.

Hola

MY NAME IS LUNITA VALERIA.

I am a first-generation American healing arts practitioner, mother, and writer, raised biculturally on Kumeyaay land in Southern California, near the Mexican border.

I began writing poetry and short stories as a child, instinctively reaching for language as a way to make sense of the world and the complexities of being human. As a deeply sensitive person, writing became both refuge and translation: a place to put what I could feel long before I knew how to name it.

The spiritual and the creative have always been inseparable for me.

I grew up with a persistent sense of otherness, never quite fitting within the molds I was given. One of my earliest memories is of looking toward the stars for sanctuary and understanding. Even then, I sensed there was something within me, and something beyond me, offering guidance. A quiet intelligence I could return to when the world felt too loud.

Over time, that instinct became a practice.

My work now lives at the intersection of healing arts, creative expression, ancestral reclamation, elemental magick, and collective liberation. I am particularly interested in healing arts access as a matter of social justice, and in what becomes possible when we intentionally dissent from the systems and inherited structures that separate us from our bodies, our lineages, one another, and our creative sovereignty.

I believe remembering can be an act of resistance.

I believe gathering can be an act of reclamation.

And I believe there are ways of knowing that cannot be taught to us because they have been living inside us all along.

Perhaps now is not the moment to become something new.

Perhaps it is the moment to call ourselves back home.
