Tea with The Grandmothers

A gathering for those who seek to remember.

You did not arrive here by accident.

Somewhere beneath the noise of a life built to keep you productive, distracted, and endlessly reaching outward, there is a thread. It runs backward through your mother, and her mother, and hers: through kitchens and fields and border crossings, through languages half lost and recipes barely remembered, all the way to the first fire your people ever sat around. That thread has never broken. It has only been waiting for you to pick it back up.

Tea with the Grandmothers is an online gathering built on one truth: everyone has culture. Everyone descends from people who knew how to grieve, how to celebrate, how to heal, how to read the land and listen to each other. Whether your lineage feels vivid and near, or buried under generations of assimilation, silence, and forgetting - this is an invitation home.

For two hours, we slow down enough to listen for what has been carried in your blood and your bones. This is deeply personal, yet communal, work. It is quiet, serious work, held with warmth… the kind of work our grandmothers might recognize even if the language around it changed.

This gathering is for you if:

You've felt a pull to know where you truly come from, even if you can't name why

You sense there's more beneath your family's silence than what's ever been said aloud

You've inherited patterns, fears, or gifts you can't fully explain, and you suspect they're older than you

You're tired of feeling severed from something ancient and steady inside you

You want to belong to a lineage again, not as an idea, but as a felt, living thing

You don't need to know your family history. You don't need to practice a specific tradition. You only need to be willing to sit still and listen.

What the gathering includes:

Ancestral Connection

A guided practice to open a channel to those who came before us, known or unknown to us by name, remembered or long forgotten. This is the doorway the rest of the gathering walks through.

Guided Contemplation

Reflective prompts and real stillness, held with care, to help us meet whatever surfaces honestly, without rushing past it or performing insight we haven't actually arrived at.

Mitochondrial History

A look at the maternal line as both biological fact and spiritual inheritance: the literal, unbroken cellular thread connecting you to your grandmothers' grandmothers. Science and ancestry, side by side, finally telling the same story.

Grounding Ritual

A closing practice to root everything we've touched back into the body, so the experience doesn't stay abstract: so it comes home with us and blooms.

A note before you register This work does not promise to hand you your ancestry wrapped and finished in two hours. It offers you a door, a practice, and enough quiet to hear what's been waiting. What you do with that afterward, the calls you make to relatives, the recipes you ask for, the questions you finally say out loud, that part belongs to you.
